With over a decade of teaching experience, Alex brings extensive scientific expertise from Hong Kong to help students master complex concepts with confidence. He holds a Master of Education from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, combining strong academic credentials with practical teaching insight. His approach focuses on breaking down challenging material into clear, manageable ideas while building critical thinking skills. Outside the classroom, he is an avid culinary enthusiast and enjoys traveling to his favorite destination, Japan.
Yuxin Wang
Grammar, Literature & Critical Writing Specialist
Yuxin holds a Master’s in Literacy and Language Education from the University of Toronto and brings over four years of international teaching experience from Sapporo, Japan. She specializes in grammar, literature, and critical writing, helping students develop a strong command of language and a deeper appreciation for academic excellence. Her teaching focuses on clarity, structure, and confident expression in both writing and communication. In her free time, she enjoys reading anything she can get her hands on, from fiction and news articles to manga and comics! Her favourite snack is rice crackers! Savoury snacks gang for the win!
Beatrice Lew
Philosophy Student · Essay & Creative Writing Expert
Beatrice is a Philosophy student at the University of Toronto who brings a strong passion for history into her approach to teaching storytelling. She works with middle and high school students to develop clear, structured writing and help them express their ideas with confidence. In addition to tutoring, she serves as a camp coordinator at her church, where she designs and leads STEM-based programs for children aged 6 to 11. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the GTA in search of great food.
